Career History
Like most teenagers, I was always interested in fashion and spent every Saturday rummaging around the charity shops in Malvern for special finds. My Grandma gifted her old sewing machine which meant I could have great fun remodelling outfits whilst I was in the sixth form at school.
So following my passion, in 2002 I trained as a Personal Stylist with a London based company (at that time running this alongside my wedding dress business which I sold in 2006 to focus on family). Having also trained as a secondary school teacher, In the last few years I'm pleased to say that the growth of the Personal Styling business has enabled me to offer training courses in Image Consultancy, encompassing my experience as an Image Consultant with my teaching experience.
My Philosophy on being Stylish
I’m what you would class as a classic dresser with elements of dramatic – I enjoy prints and dopamine colours but whilst I like to keep abreast of particular fashions – I am more about finding the clothes which suit my body shape and skin tone. Wearing clothes which work for me, not following fashion for fashion’s sake. Being stylish is something we all have in us... we just need to find it. When you understand why certain necklines or cuts of clothing work for you and others don’t, you can then make informed decisions about what you wear and as a result feeling confident and empowered in your choices.

Career History
When I left High School my plan was to study Art then move into Fashion Design. My love of drawing and costume fuelled this but life has a funny way of taking you down a different path. I actually found myself working in healthcare services and loving the hospital environment. I fell into volunteering in the Mental Health Day Hospital after becoming disillusioned with the adminstrative pathway I was on and my love of Occupational Therapy was born. I enrolled at Coventry University to study OT where I found working in Mental Health gave me the opportunity to bring my creativity into the therapeutic process. After a 20 year NHS career I took a leap into the unknown world of self-employment and trained in image consultancy where I discovered a huge skill overlap in body confidence, image and self-esteem. I feel strongly that the way we present ourselves has a direct impact on our wellbeing and vice versa.
My Philosophy on being Stylish
Everyone has a style; it's just that some of us are more confident with showing it more than others. Magical things happen when you embrace your unique and natural style. Style is more than what you wear. It's how you walk and talk, how you hold your posture and how you make others feel. When you clothes are right for you all those other things are much easier. When you look good, you feel good and you do good.
